Salestream Software announced at the Channel Partner Show the release of its MasterStream-UNITY™ platform, a major upgrade to its industry-leading MasterStream telecom automation software. MasterStream-UNITY enables seamless quoting of both traditional and managed telecom services in a unified request process — allowing users to quote complex, multi-site services on demand. The addition of document automation, the real-time rules-based generation of pre-populated order documents, is another major UNITY enhancement.

UNITY was developed in response to the explosive demand for managed services, from SIP trunks and IP PBX to IPVPN and everything in-between. Salestream Software today announced another enhancement to its MasterStream agency automation system — New Splits in Commissions.

After an exhaustive development and testing period, our newly enhanced Commissions Splits Manager is being released on Monday, February 28! Current Commissions users with existing splits will notice a slick new look to the Splits screen that also contains mouse-over Help menus to explain how to take advantage of the new features.

Previously, the Split function was based exclusively on the “Ownership” method. But now, you can choose the basis of the split you are creating- such as “% of Revenue”, “% of Commission Received”, and even “Fixed Dollar” amounts. Once the basis for the split arrangement has been selected, the arrangement can be easily applied to different a level of granularity (Order, Client, Agent, and Agent Company). This eliminates most of the labor in managing splits, allowing them to be efficiently applied to current and future orders automatically.

If you are a current Commission user with existing Splits arrangements, they are automatically “grandfathered” into the new scheme and you can leave them as is — no action is required. You may, however, wish to delete the old split arrangements and replace them with the new, more powerful split methodology. Or you can simply leave the existing Splits in place and, going forward, add new split arrangements using the new methodology.

The tool, which is based on the MasterStream platform from MasterStream Software, initially launched Feb. 10, and is currently in the process of rolling out to new areas and with increased functionality, according to CEO Bruce Chatterley.

Speakeasy partners and sales associates can use the Sales Quote Tool to check for service availability and coverage, instantly create voice and broadband quotes, request orders and manage previously created orders.

Previously, partners would have to contact a Speakeasy partner consultant to create a quote for their clients, Chatterly said. “While we still offer this option to partners who choose to use it, this new tool also provides them more of an instant, ‘DIY’ approach, if they prefer,” he said.
